Using Interactive Charts

How to read the bar charts, histograms and line charts in the workspace, including tooltips and legends.

Charts in EuroData Score are generated directly from the data in your selected dataset and update immediately when you change a column, filter or setting.

Chart types

ChartWhereShows
Bar chartFrequency Analysis, InsightsCounts per value, or a metric compared across groups.
HistogramFrequency AnalysisHow numeric values are distributed across equal-width bins.
Line chartTrendsAn aggregated metric per day, week, month, quarter or year.
Correlation matrixInsightsPearson correlation between pairs of numeric columns, shaded by strength.

Interacting with charts

  • Hover over (or tap) a bar or point to see a tooltip with the exact value.
  • Axis labels show the column names and units as they appear in your data.
  • On small screens, charts resize to fit; long category labels may be shortened in the axis but appear in full in the tooltip and table.
  • Every chart is accompanied by a table with the same numbers, which you can export as CSV.

Gaps in line charts

For averages, medians, minimums and maximums, periods with no records appear as gaps rather than zeros, so the line does not suggest values that do not exist. For sums and counts, empty periods are shown as zero.
